In February, Rising to the Challenge: Are High School Graduates Prepared for College and Work? was commissioned by Achieve, Inc. and conducted by Peter D. Hart Associations, et al. It reported, among other things, that lower writing expectations lead to lower confidence. The report also revealed that a large percentage of those surveyed have gaps in the skills and abilities they need to be ready for work and college.
