Ten Ways to Reduce the College Admissions Stress

Now, you still may be stressed with the admission's process, but less so after reading this.   Jay Mathews, education columnist at the Washington Post, has compiled a list of how to make the college admissions process - which has been equated with winning the lottery at some schools (think Harvard) - a little less stressful. A bit of sound wisdom, I think in item 7, was not to take the campus tours too seriously. (See today's earlier post).   I think the most useable bit of advice in this column (I don't think Harvard's going to change its ways any time soon) is to apply to a variety of colleges and note that many national and world leaders did NOT graduate from the Ivy League.
