This after reading Newsweek's May 28 edition which gives their annual list of the country's 1,000 best high schools.
There at # 850 is Pasco High School. Now there are about five or six Bellevue high schools that ranked in the top 100 or so. But as Courtney Stenson, Pasco School District's pio pointed out, those schools aren't dealing with a 70 percent free and reduced lunch rate. Pasco is also the largest high school in the state, tipping the numbers at just over 3,000 kids.
Here is the story from the Washington Post.
So congrats to all the schools that made the list. Free and reduced lunch stats are in parentheses. Here are the Washington schools I could find in a quick glance. If I've missed a few, add 'em on the comments section. And if anyone goes to any of these schools, tell me why you think they made the list.
