Hats off to Seattle Public Schools and Explorations in Math!

Hats off

Weren’t we just talking about the value of community Math Nights for the parents and teachers? Thankfully, Seattle Public Schools got the message.

Together with Explorations in Math, the district is hosting a celebration of math and student achievement called MathFest. Approximately 750 students, teachers, parents, siblings, community members, businesses and school district officials are expected to attend the event, which will feature students solving number-logic puzzles and applying their math skills to real-world problems. Explorations in Math has spent the last five years helping thousands of local children and parents to demystify and become more interested in learning math, so this should be a fun and informative gathering.

The free event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Rainier Community Center, 4600 38th Ave. S. in Seattle. For more information contact Explorations in Math at info@eimath.org or (425) 325 – 0774.

Hats off to Seattle Public Schools and Explorations in Math for their commitment to the importance of math and community engagement!
