Get out our voting pen...

...the primary elections are upon us. Earlier than usual this year, the primary cuts into our sacred summers that are typically (but hasn't been!) the few weeks out of the gloomy year that Northwesterners get our much needed Vitamin D.
On August 21, the primary election will feature city council, school board (read this June 14 Seattle Times article for Seattle School Board specifics), port commissioner, parks district and other local offices throughout the state.

To see who's running or for more info on any candidate, search this public database. Mail-in ballots have already gone out.

So while you wait for some sunshine to peak through the unsummer-like clouds, use the bad weather to your advantage. Catch up on your politics, get out there and vote!
