Don’t miss this science and math education conference!

Don't MissNext Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 7-9 a.m. the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedicine Association is hosting a series of breakfast presentations on improving K-12 science and math education. “Where?” you ask. At one of my favorite places, the Pacific Science Center!

Incredibly life-like dinosaurs and naked mole-rats aside, this event promises to be an informative discussion featuring the insight of Ran Hinrichs, of 2b3d and formerly of Microsoft; Ray Yan of Digi Pen Institute; Dennis Schatz of the Pacific Science Center; and Theresa Britschgi of Seattle Biomedical Research Institute's BioQuest on the most powerful techniques and strategies for science teaching and learning that they know.

Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Maria Goodloe-Johnson will also lead a discussion with the audience on their thoughts for how to improve science instruction—so bring your ideas.
