Are you a millionaire?

When I last blogged about the possible "Math and Science High" proposed by Tri-City school districts, excitement was still abound. The big question in Sept was: Who will fund this innovative, alternative school? According to this article, clearly not anyone anytime soon.

Initially set to open this fall, the project has struggled to find adequate funding (several million is needed for a facility and start-up costs) and the school is now said to possibly be ready in time for the 2009-10 school year. Or will it?

Education funding is a tangled web here in Washington. And even if this school taps into some private funding, "several million" is no small feat.
But where there's the will there's a way!!

So if anybody out there believes in this school and in math and science education, let Battelle and WSU hear from you! With all the millionaires in this state...it can't be that hard to find the bucks, can it?
