Excellent Schools Now Sends a Message to Olympia

print mail

Today, Excellent Schools Now--a coalition co-chaired by Partnership for Learning--sent a message to Washington legislators telling them to oppose SB 6778 and uphold our state's graduation requirements. SB 6778 would lower Washington's graduation requirements to just 15 credits and allow students to graduate without passing state assessments.

According to the the letter:

"SB 6778 will not serve our students well or prepare them for their futures. Regardless of the path they choose, a meaningful high school diploma—one that includes high standards and rigorous assessments—is critical not only to student success, but to preserving our state’s competitiveness and prosperity."

Let's hope our representatives listen.
